UWS Restaurants: Jacob’s Pickles

brunch, Fashion, food, foodie, New York, New York restaurants

If you can get in during odd hours, or are not deterred by a line, Jacobs Pickles is a great brunch spot.  The look of the restaurant perfectly compliments the southern style of the food with white tiles, brick and wood. The menu consists of delicious comfort foods in addition to a selection of pickled vegetables.

An antique looking chandelier.

Our platter of pickled goodies: Hot Sours, Kosher Dills, Sweet and Spicy Carrots, Dilly Green Beans.

Talk about an Instagram worthy meal-Jacob’s Pickles’ brunch is as good as it looks.  Their croquet madame will leave you satisfied both visually and physically.  They do not skimp on the flavor or cheese (always a plus in my book).

Their Bloody Mary topped with all the fixings (the egg was pickled!).

Croque Madame was humungous and delicious.

City Style

Boston, brunch, casual, city, fall, fashion, fashion blogger, food, foodie, local food, minimalist, ootd, ootn, outfit, outfit inspiration, restaurant, Uncategorized, womens fashion, womenswear

I spent the day exploring the South End of Back Bay.  It was a great day to walk around the city because the weather was so nice.  I kept my outfit simple and comfortable to make sure I was ready for anything.

On the way to brunch at Five Horses!

 I got their brunch burger.

One of the pictures I took while exploring the city.  The architecture in Boston is beautiful!

This picture was taken in the Boston Public Library.  I can’t believe I’ve never been here before! It is such a beautiful building, the interior has is full of historic decor.

This is the base of my outfit.  A turtleneck from Nordstrom BP, under a leather jacket by Bar3, denim and leopard belt from JCrew, bag from LF, and shoes from Lord and Taylor and by Sam Edelman.  The cuccoon coat I wore over the look is also from JCrew.

Whenever I am in the city, I like to wear simple outfits that easily transition from day to night.  I never know where I’ll end up, so I like my outfits to feel put together.

Travel Tuesday: The Cafeteria

Boston, Boston restaurants, brunch, food, The Cafeteria

This autumn, I had the pleasure of attending a birthday brunch at The Cafeteria on Newbury Street.  The packed outdoor patio gave me a clue that I was in for a treat.  Upon arrival, we were seated at the large window seat overlooking Newbury Street.

This is their Lilosa with Grapefruit juice and Prosecco. Yum!

I ordered their Grass-fed Burger with Parmesan cheese fries.  This was the perfect option because I was very hungry.

Their brunch menu consists of a variety of options: brunch, lunch and many more, so you will find what you’re looking for.

The feel of Cafeteria is swanky but relaxed, making it the perfect place for a ladies brunch.  The food is modern and playful, making every bite unique.  Their ingredients are local and fresh.

Next time you’re on Newbury Street, be sure to stop in and try their delicious dishes!
