Birthday Dinner Look

Today’s look was based on a carmel color scheme.  I was inspired by a Kendall Jenner look that incorporated a tan color scheme with a henley and fur.  I took her casual daytime idea and turned it into an evening outfit.  Once I put the pieces together I knew it would be the perfect look for my birthday dinner.

The fur vest was a gift and is bu FURR, the dress is by H&M, and the boots are from Nordstrom Rack and by Stuart Weitzman. The earrings and ring are by Alexis Bittar and the bag is by Loeffler Randall.

Dark, Poppy Florals

I’ve seen a lot of chunky sweaters paired with mini skirts and I’ve been interested in trying the trend.  I worked this look around my dark floral skirt and paired the colors accordingly.  To keep the look winterized, I added knee high boots for coverage.

The sweater is from Urban Outfitters, the skirt is from Nordstrom BP and by Lush, and the boots are by Stuart Weitzman.  The earrings are vintage, the ring is by Silpada and the backpack is from TJMaxx and by Steve Madden.

Pink Shirt Dress Winter Edition

Recently, I purchased a suede pastel pink dress for my upcoming trip to Tulum.  It is such a cute piece, that I wanted to wear it immediately.  Here is my winterized version of the look.  I stayed true to it’s 90’s nature and paired it with a choker, leather jacket and knee high boots.

The jacket is by Michael Kors, the dress is from Nordstrom BP, and the boots are from Nordstrom Rack and by Stuart Weitzman.  The ring is by Michael Connors, a Jersey Shore artist, the choker is, you guessed it, a string and the bag is by Hobo.

Valentines Day:Shift Dress & Knee Highs

Whether you’re in a relationship or not, it’s always nice to have outfit ideas for any occasion that pops up in your daily life. So, in lieu of Valentines Day this weekend, I will be posting Valentines Day date looks.  They will range from daytime, to evening.

A shift dress is a key piece in any wardrobe, it is flattering and versatile and can be worn many different ways.  I paired my dress with knee high boots and a leather jacket for an edgier feel.  I accessorized with a statement necklace and studded bag.

This is a great look for a daytime or dinner look.  The knee high boots keep you covered and comfortable, but add a little touch of sexy.  Less is more people.  The leather jacket and studded clutch give the floral patterned dress some edginess.

The dress is from Nordstrom BP and by ASTR, the leather jacket is by Bar3 and the boots are by Calvin Klein.  The necklace is by Baublebar, the ring is from Lucky Brand, the earrings are vintage, and the bag is from Nordstrom.

Pops of Red

When the temperature drops, it’s hard to think of anything other than staying warm.  Today’s look was a comfortable and cozy (3 layer) outfit.  I paired leggings with a button down and long lose sweater.  Initially it was simple with neutral colors and accessories and a pop of pattern in the collar that peeped through.  I decided to add some red to the outfit with red lipstick and a red coat, and it gave the outfit a much needed pop of color.

The striped button down is from JCrew, the sweater is from Urban Outfitters, the leggings are from Lululemon and the boots are by Calvin Klein.  The coat is from TJMaxx, and by Tullethe earrings are form Bloomingdales and by Rebecca Minkoff, the earmuffs are by Kate Spade and the lip color is lip stain 01 by Sephora.

Sometimes adding a little pop of color can totally transform an outfit.  An easy way to do this is with beauty products like lipstick or nail polish.  You can always add accessories in that color too!
