Pink Shirt Dress Vacation Version

Fashion

In preparation for my upcoming vacation, I’ve been planning a lot of outfits.  Today’s look is the vacation version of my pink dress from Wednesday.  It is much lighter and more playful.  I paired the dress with fringe sandals, a fedora and embellished beach bag.

The dress is from Nordstrom BP, the fedora is from JCrew, and the shoes are by Michael Kors.  The bag is by Kate Spade, the earrings are vintage and the cuff is from JCrew.

I absolutely love this look and I can’t wait to wear it on vacation.  It is so easy, effortless and light!

Feminine Crepe Skirt

Fashion, ootd

When it comes to materials, I am really drawn to ones that convey movement.  Since I was at the beach, I figured that crepe was the perfect material to wear.  I paired the crepe with a light white button down that tied on the bottom.  Together the two elements created a classically feminine outfit.

The look caught the wind on this shot, giving a glimpse at the light material.

The full look (sunnies, button down and skirt) are from Urban Outfitters.  The shoes are by BCBG Generation and from TJMaxx.

Recent Purchase: Birkenstocks

Uncategorized

I don’t know about you, but I wasn’t always the biggest fan of the Birk. However after following many blogs (weworewhat <3) I started to see the fun side of them. My summer job also helped…your feet don't feel so great after 6 hours without arch support.
In addition to them being an interesting fashion piece, they are also a practical choice as well. They can be paired with anything from jeans, to skirts and dresses. This is why they are my pick for my trip to New York this weekend.

Without further adieu, here are my $69 dollar Birks (on sale at Nordstrom
Rack):

Now some people say they look bulky on your foot. I like how they look, but it’s what you’re most comfortable in.

Sooooo are Birks a yay or a nay?
