Today’s look was inspired by yesterday’s shoot where I experimented with bell bottoms for a more casual-70’s vibe. The bell bottoms are high rise and have a slimming affect, so I figured, why not wear them on Monday for work.
I paired the denim with a turtleneck that had gold embellishments and wore all gold accessories for a bold pop.
The turtleneck is from Zara, the denim is from Urban Outfitters, the blazer is from Nordstrom BP and the shoes are from Nordstrom Rack and by 14th Union. The earrings are from Banana Republic, the necklace is by Bauble Bar, the ring is from JCrew and the back pack is by Michael Kors.

Last week I spent some time coordinating outfits that weren’t cliche for the fourth. My outfits have a subtle patriotic flare to them and can definitely be worn without feeling like too much.
Here are the looks: 
This look combines a preppy, but androgynous look. It’s put together, but doesn’t feel over the top. The pop of color in the shorts combined with the loose white button down has an interesting juxtaposition, but works. The shoes really polish the outfit and their geometric shape plays well with the rectangular bag.
I showed the outfit with and without the hat because I feel like it totally transforms the outfit. Without the hat, the outfit is very urban and sleek. But when the hat is added, it creates this feminine, garden party feel.
My hat and shirt are from Nordstrom and the shirt is by a company called Leith. My shorts are from JCrew, and my shoes are from Bloomingdales by Ivanka Trump. My bag is from TJMaxx and by Michael Kors. My pearl ring is from Bloomingdales and by AQUA and my other gold ring is from JCrew.
This look is extremely urban and a perfect outfit for walking around in the city. I was uncertain about pairing the red shoes with the outfit, but I think they’re a great pop against the monochromatic color scheme. The dress comes across as a solid even though it is actually striped. I think this is a good look with the plaid because they don’t compete with one another.
I have two different bags paired with it because they shape the look differently. The backpack makes the look feel really urban, and the cross body makes it more feminine. I opted for the backpack in the look because I was going for a ultra urban look.

I kept this outfit simple and androgynous like the first outfit. I really love the way the vintage envelope bag and dress work together; the dress is feminine and flowy and the bag is masculine and straight. To add interest, I wore many stackable bracelets and a ring. The Birkenstocks ground this outfit and keep it from being too dressy. This outfit could also be a great city outfit because of the comfortable material of the dress and shoes.

I love adding vintage pieces with character to my look. My skull bracelet is from Aldo and the rest are Berluti bracelets. My ring is from JCrew.
